Junip met some more aunts and her first uncle this weekend.
Jill, Reid, and Caroline drove up Friday. It was a chill weekend of eating, lazing around, talking, and baby oggling. We visited dad (and picked up treats) at the farmer’s market Saturday morning, but quickly got rained out and had to seek shelter in the capitol.
Saturday night Drew busted out the Baby K’tan and we all went to the Harmony for beer and walnut burgers. Yes, we’re those parents, with the baby at the bar. I have to say, it’s wonderful how calm she is in public – it makes it so much easier to enjoy this city and the summer. So far we’ve hauled her to the coffee shop, the gardens, the market, the capitol, the pharmacy, the bakery, a wedding, and graduation party, and the bar. Not bad for one week of life.
Drew’s sibs left after brunch this morning, and we’re back to the quiet life. Which is pretty good, too.
