Well, the hoop houses are up and all of our fall planting is done. They turned out a bit rinky-dink looking (I think we were both imagining the super sleek hoop houses you see in gardening books) but as long as we have fresh greens all winter, I’m fine with that.
Radicchio, mache, tatsoi, and spinach babies under the plastic, plus our massive kale and broccoli plants, which are still producing. Garlic planted uncovered, ready for spring. We’re a little doubtful the babies will get to their mature size before the cold stops their growth, but there are enough of them that even if we’re picking micro greens, it should last us a while.
