I know it’s only February; not even close to spring in Wisconsin. In fact, it snowed another six inches last night. But the first harbinger of spring is popping up. The sun is just high enough to peek over our neighbors’ houses even as it’s setting, in the late afternoon. It makes these little glowy spotlights in random nooks all over our house. There’s something really soothing about it. Hopeful.
Right now in the kitchen, it’s the dishwasher that’s lit up, but in another week or so it should just hit the island counter. Photographing Drew’s cooking will regain its appeal. It’s been too depressing depending on the overhead lights.
