We are back from the Northwoods, and feeling much refreshed.
A certain someone spent the last four afternoons wearing nothing but sunblock. A naked baby is a happy baby! She was SO into the lake this year. It was too cold for my tastes, but Junip couldn’t have cared less; she wanted IN.
Our first attempt at swim lessons, and below (on her birthday) “How old is Juniper?” TWO!
Mama/son cuddles, and manly cannonballs.
And I know I post basically the same Minocqua zoo photos every year, but giraffe kisses, baby goats, and budgie snuggles just don’t get old. Although neither Liam nor Junip were 100% sold on the giraffe kisses.
And we finally intersected our visit with one of Molly and Todd’s trips up north, and got to see Todd’s fire building skills in action. He had a roaring fire going before Drew even got down the hill with the matches and newspaper. Now that is the way to do it.
Juniper declared the fire ‘hot’ and tried to cool it down by blowing on it.
And yes, that is one (1) marshmallow on that s’more. I wasn’t kidding when I said they were ridiculously large. Even Liam struggled with its girth.
Home again now and back to work, but the difference is, now it feels like summer.
